My Approach
I think of therapy as a learning process, a way to become more self-aware, a path to living a life that feels meaningful and fulfilling. Such learning takes effort because change, even for the better, is often hard. But it’s a little easier to change within the context of a supportive relationship with a therapist.

I studied psychology and philosophy in college in Buffalo, NY. I have always been curious about the human mind, the way in which we form an identity, how we relate to one another, and how we find meaning in life.
Your First Visit
Your first visit will last about an hour. It is an opportunity for you to get a sense of how it feels to talk to me. Most people feel nervous during the first meeting with a therapist, but by the end you should feel a bit more at ease and interested in talking more. You should feel that I listened and understood what you talked about, and that I can help. I will give you the chance to ask me questions if you have any.
